His music sets the perfect tone and leaves a lasting impression. Below, you can learn more about his musical journey and how he turned a lifelong passion into a successful career.

Joseph Timothy Blanchard, born in New Orleans, LA grew up immersed in music as an only child. His mother, a talented trumpet player, met his father in high school band. Joe's father, a rock drummer, adapted to the mid-80s challenges by learning keyboard and performing solo gigs that mixed electronic beats with recorded tracks.

Joe’s musical journey began with inspiration from his father, a working musician whose path Joe was eager to follow. As a child, he showed a natural talent for drums and officially joined his dad’s band in 1995. In ninth grade, while being home-schooled, Joe embraced the freedom to play late-night gigs and began teaching himself guitar using an old acoustic and a VHS tape. That spark ignited a lifelong passion for music—one that would ultimately shape his identity as an artist.
In 1999, Joe formed a trio called Bad Hair Day to pursue his role as a singer and guitarist. Though the band only played one show, his passion pushed him forward. He soon joined the popular New Orleans cover band Nozmo King, contributing guitar and backup vocals to their CD Ones to Fall. That opportunity led to gigs across the Southeastern U.S. as lead guitarist with other popular cover bands in Louisiana.

Joe’s career took a major leap in 2002 when he became the lead guitarist for New Orleans rock band Adam’s Attic. He played on two of their CDs, In the Blink of an Eye and Skylines and City Lights, and toured both nationally and internationally—including three AFE tours performing for U.S. troops in places like Greenland, Italy, Spain, and Singapore.
In 2013, Joe released his debut solo EP, “The Bittersweet Road,” featuring five original tracks recorded entirely by him in a home studio. The songs reflect his personal relationships, life on the road, and the challenges of being a working musician. This EP was a significant milestone, highlighting his songwriting skills and determination to realize artistic vision independently.

In 2016, Joe's journey took an exciting turn when he was discovered by the Orange County country band, Redneck Rodeo. He became their lead singer for almost two years, refining his skills and reconnecting the classic country songs he loved from childhood, performing alongside his dad.
During the 2020 pandemic, Joe shifted his focus to social media, connecting with new audiences and venues. By 2024, he had performed 200 shows at top restaurants, hotels, and casinos. With over 30 years of experience and 2,000+ performances, Joe Blanchard is an ideal choice for live music at your next event.
